We are continuing our art theme and we made home made clay using salt and flour and water. We used the clay to make hand sculptures which we will paint once they dry tomorrow. We also used all sorts of different materials to make pinatas! We went on a letter O hunt and found some things that start with O. We have been talking about art shows and galleries at circle time and we are pretending that daycare is an art gallery and will be displaying our artwork all week for parents to enjoy.
Today we decided to bake banana bread for breakfast so that changes the menu today.

Today we are painting mittens in art. We talked about why mittens and hats and coats are so important this time of year, especially when it gets really cold out like it is today. To see the fun days we have please take some time to read the winter newsletter that has been posted. Today we made artic pictures with igloos and a frozen pond in art. We are having PJ day and it's a great day for it with how cold it is! We will be stuck inside until it warms up a bit so we are finding some active indoor games to play to burn some of that energy.
