***Reminder*** Next week we are closing early on Thursday (1PM). If you choose to come this day, you can pay for a half day. If you choose that it's easier to just keep your child home or arrange other child care that day you do not need to pay me at all for that day. We are closed Friday and closed the entire week of 5th through the 9th. These are all unpaid vacation days. Thank you for allowing my family and I to have this time together and finding alternate care for your children. I will miss them and am looking forward to our beach party on our first day back, Monday November 12th.
Today we made super name plates with starts and glitter. We learned a new superhero rhyme today in circle time and played a game called superhero sam says. We practiced writing the letter F in our workbooks and on the chalkboard. Another rainy day means we are stuck inside so we are playing some of our more active indoor games to burn that energy.

Today we made superhero masks and talked about what the word hero means and how they could be heros too. We also introduced the letter F and went on a letter F hunt. We put on our thinking caps and came up with superhero names for each child for when they wear their masks. It's rainy and dreary today so we have been stuck inside.
Today we finished up our farm theme and did our bingo song and game. We used red and yellow paint and made orange paint (orange and black are our colors of the month). We painted pumpkins to hang on the bulletin board and introduced our new theme, Capes and Wings! We will be using our imaginations a lot in the next week and a half pretending to be superheros and fairies and having lots of Halloween fun!
There's no school today so we have one of our school age friends visiting today! We made springy spiders today in art and got to spend lots of time outside. We looked for spider webs outside and talked about what spiders use their webs for. We learned a new version of Itsy Bitsy Spider in circle time.
Today we finished our Mary Had A Little Lamb puppets and took turns being the lost lamb while Mary tried to find us. We talked about the wool we get from sheep and what it's used for. We made an animal graph and charted who everyones favorite farm animal was. Cow was number one
It's PJ day at Jen's house and the kids are having a blast. We are also working on our farm theme and making pigs rolling in mud and Mary's little lamb for art projects. It's raining outside today so we are stuck indoors but the kids are having plenty of fun in their PJ's and they are not even missing outside time yet.
***Reminder, we are closed Friday for MEA. We are still working on our farm theme this week and today we made owl necklaces in art. We did a couple of pages in our workbook and spent a good amount of time outside. We learned a new song in circle time called "On The Farm". We talked about eggs and how the eggs get from the chicken to the grocery store and all the things eggs can be used for.
Today we used felt and made cows. We talked about all the food that comes from cows. We also did some work with the letter D today and thought of all the words that start with D. We played outside for a while and got our doctors kit out today to play animal doctor to all of our stuffed animals.
We made barns with amimal stickers in art today. We got to spend some time outside and pretended to feed the chickens with bird seed. We are going to see what birds come eat the seed. We read our new Mary Had A Little Lamb book and played farm with the animals Karsten brought from home to share.
The kids learned a new song today, Over In The Barnyard. We also played a game at circle time where I whispered the name of a farm animal in the kids ears and they had to be that animal while their friends guessed which animal they were. We made baby chicks with yellow feathers in art.
